My work has also been featured in UK and US music publications such as the Guardian, Stereogum, and Loud and Quiet, has secured television syncs on BBC and Channel 4 programming, and used in advertising campaigns by companies such as Adidas and Manchester United. I am an experienced sound designer within theatre and have worked with clients such as the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, BOLD Elephant Theatre, Extant Theatre, Angel Exit Theatre, and Theatre Centre. I am passionate about equal opportunities within music and the arts and have worked in supporting children and young people with charities such as Reclaim Project and Arts Emergency. Recent Works

Here are some recent examples of my work as a sound artist, remixer, producer and songwriter, as well as a composer and sound designer within theatre.

‘Sounds Better’ - Sound Artist

This collaborative project with Scarborough Museum & Galleries and Cross Lane Hospital was formed by listening to people’s lived experience of the impact of sound. We explored the journey it takes us on and how it interacts with mental health conditions and neurodiversity. I helped create immersive soundscapes with participants from the project, who were current and previous patients from Cross Lane. Following a series of interactive workshops, we curated an exhibition at Woodend Gallery that was created by the project participants and led by the creative team at Cross Lane Hospital. Our ‘Sound Toolkit’ can be accessed digitially by both our participants and the public, so the spirit of the project continues to live on.

‘Wish You Weren’t Here’ - Composer and Sound Designer

I worked as the lead sound designer and composer for Katie Redford’s play, Wish You Weren’t Here, directed by Rob Watt (Theatre Centre). The play draws on themes of nostalgia and warped memories, which I echoed in the sonics using tape recordings and detuned synthesizers to create a sonic world of faded romantic memories that aren’t quite how you remember them.

'SALT’: A Community Play for Poole - Composer and Sound Designer

From May to July 2023, I was the lead sound designer and composer for Angel Exit’s community play, SALT, performed at the Lighthouse in Poole (a 1,476 capacity concert hall). As well as composing original music for the play and solely creating the sound design and sonic world, I worked with a team of technical staff at the Lighthouse to bring the design to life in the concert hall, using various signal routing processes and microphones to ensure an excellent level of clarity in such a large space.

Remix Work

I have remixed artists such as Anna B Savage, Django Django, Working Men’s Club and Jane Weaver for labels such as City Slang, Heavenly Recordings, and Fire Records.

Production

I have released my own music under electronic labels such as Optimo Music and Okay Nature, as well as co-producing albums with W. H. Lung.

Songwriting and Performance

I have written and recorded 3 studio albums with W. H. Lung, of which I am a founding member. I have toured the UK, Europe and USA with W. H. Lung and have also toured the UK and Europe with both Julie Byrne and Pale Blue Eyes (supporting Slowdive on their European tour in 2024).
